Safety tips for cutting plasma

Cutting plasma technique is used to cut steel and other metal materials of different thicknesses. In this process, a compressed air is blown out of a nozzle at the high speed. 3. Ground Cables

So you have to make sure not to attach ground cable with the work object. This is because it will fall away when the cutting process is over.

Here are few important precautions given to consider for cutting plasma.
1. Do not remove the ground cable while cutting the material.
2. While the cutting process is on, you should avoid retrieving a work object and waste. Leave them on the cutting bench with the ground cables attached to it.
3. Make sure you are not in touch with the wet surface during the cutting plasma process.
4. Insulated boots and gloves are extremely important to wear during the process, as it always keeps you safe from dangerous spatters.

Get to know the basic differences between MIG welder and TIG welder

Welding is the method of joining two or more metal parts, by melting both materials. Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welds are types of arc welding that make use of concentrated heat of an electric arc to join together metals by fusion of the parent metal by a consumable electrode. Either direct or alternating current is used during the process, depending upon the material to be welded and the electrode used. At times, pressure or filler material is used to aid in fusion process.

During the MIG weld process, the metal is fused by heating with an arc. The arc is positioned between the filler metal electrode and the work piece. On the other hand, a TIG weld or Tungsten Inert Gas functions by joining metals through the process of heating with tungsten electrodes that do not become part of the completed weld. Both are gas shielded arc welding processes. In MIG welding, shielding is provided by outwardly supplied gas whereas in case of TIG welding, argon or other inert gas mixtures are used for shielding.
There are some basic differences between the two types of welds. MIG welding is a much faster process as compared to TIG welding. A solid wire is used in the MIG Flux Cored Arc Welding-Gas Shield (FCAW-G) whereas in the TIG welding process a flux cored electrode is used. TIG uses Tungsten to carry the arc. The key difference lies in the manner the filler metal is added to produce the weld. In the MIG welding process, a filler metal is used as the electrode. The arc is created when the electrode comes in contact with the work surface; whereas in the TIG process, the arc is created between a tungsten electrode mounted in a hand-held torch and the work piece to be welded. The arc is initiated by means of a switch. The filler metal is then added to the weld puddle by the welder as the torch is directed along the joint which is to be welded.
