The 2nd pic is some Kawie showroom tags welded to two AC braces that I stuck togather.
the two lawn mower blades in #2 pic will show up again.I circled the back of the AC braces so you can see where they were joined togather.
Ok here comes the LM blades---![]()
Not the prettiest I've seen but not the ugliest either. I'd say you are off to a pretty good start. All it takes is lots of practice and a few helpful tips. We can handle the second part here.

Most of the sticks I used were 6013.I have some 6011 ,but they want to stick at the start of the welds real bad. Here is a pic of my LcheapO welder.I know I knowI'm lookin at that 140 of LG's.Also posted a pic of my oldest Craftman a.c..Any and all info I will be thankful for so ya'll don't hold back.LOL
Thanks gadget,I'm not gonna give up![]()
That welder I'm tryin to work with there is hard to figure out! I have noticed that it pushes a bead lots better than a pulled bead? Maybe just me?The one thing that really bothers me about it is the cycle off.Just when you really get goin good it quits .

Also I may have started this thread in the wrong forum?Sorry if I did---Gene
I may be wrong on this, but try turning your amps up,it seems like its not hot enough, and try to be a little smoother on your stick movement on the lawn mower blades.Hard to see the pics for me,but good for a beginner.

Keep practicing - don't give up. I'm no expert, but I have improved over time. - and I agree with Gilly - I think you need more heat for that thickness of metal - looks like not much penetration.
