I would not weld the tubes directly to the implement I would get some channel iron and cut the circumference of the pipe onto the edges; top and bottom of the channel iron, then weld the plate to the implement you wish to use it on, their is more surface area for adhesion and better opportunity for a professional looking mount.You may also want to bring it out more from the frame of the implement , I have a few of these types of jacks.
