I downsized the machine path from 8" to 6" for the next pulley. I can't upload photos of the 8" now that it's done but I can embed a video of the cut process.

Dan:
Nice video. I noticed the brush around the cutter. _ I'm guessing it cuts down on the dust. Is it attached to a vacuum?
Cheers,

Longevity LS200-PI multi-purpose cutter/welder,
Miller 180 Auto-Set MIG,
Custom 5hp compressor,
Art, the brush is connected to a vacuum. I can use it on the rough cut but on the finish cut the bit is too short and I have to take it off. Fortunately, the finish cut doesn't create too much dust.

Good looking CNC machine you made there, and you are definitely getting some use out of it.Great idea on using the vacuum brush to keep the dust down.

Man, I wish Santa would bring me a CNC really bad!!!! There is so much I could do or want to do with it. I've just been having to "poor boy" it and freehand everything up to this point and have gotten pretty good at that but it would be nice not to have to draw everything on paper, cut it out with knife/scissors, transfer to metal, and then cut and spend way too much time cleaning up my work with flap discs and die grinder. I guess it makes me appreciate each thing a little more though, having that much effort in it all.
Just Sensible Concepts
