Kudos to Jesse & Co. at Longevity

Just got my 200PI working this evening after a frustrating week of troubles with the unit. I suspect that one of the plugs inside was dislodged during shipping. I talked to Jesse on the phone at Longevity and he was fully prepared to ship my "defective" unit back to CA and ship me a new one but he walked me through checking connections inside the machine first and we found the problem together.

Not sure how many distributors of equipment there are anymore who would take the time/risk to gauge your level of skill over the phone and actually encourage you to open up their gear to try to save you some shipping and lost time. Jesse made sure that I'd shut off power, unplugged, etc. before suggesting that I open the case, but that's it.

I think in an age when fear of frivolous lawsuits prevents the use of common sense and careful troubleshooting, this kind of service should be commended. It's the plug 'n' play, disposable mentality of my generation that is getting us away from durable equipment that lasts a long time and isn't just thrown away when it breaks. But I digress....

    Thanks, guys!

(And to all the folks who tried to walk me through the problems, too.)

Couldn't agree more, it's great to have someone work with you and support trying to avoid expensive shipping around if not necessary. Too many companies say don't break the seal...hell, they don't know enough about their equipment to even tell you what to do. So good to work with the guys at Longevity who try to save both of us on costs and getting good equipment working. Keep up the good work....
