the 200pi draws 31.3 amps under full load, you would be better with a 40 amp circuit and a nema 14-50 plug (available at home depot)

check that, the 200pi draws just under 30 amps under load (just checked it with a amp meter) a 20 amp circuit would sizzle bacon within seconds

OK, the 20 is totaly out! I thought I read the input amps were 20, but I'll trust your amp meter more than I'll trust what I "thought" I read. What I read and what they meant might be different. Thanks, don't want to burn down the shop. Better to over do it than to under do it.

I figure I'm going to use 30amp twist lock connectors. They cost a little more, but I have 20' cord for my generator with twist locks. That will get me all over the shop and out the door from only one receptacle. Plus, it will plug into my generator.

I found some 30 amp recepticals and a plug on ebay. They were cheaper than I could buy dryer plugs localy.
