What was the single hardest welding job that you have ever taken on or what was the job you were most proud of?

I would have to say the tank I made for my motorcycle. It still isn't 100% finished but its all welded unless I make a hole in it smoothing out the welds.

Yea the first tank is def a tough one what do you have left to do to it
Well I would like to filler and paint it but I haven't gotten started on that part yet. It works as a tank but isn't finished in the looks department. I need to also figured out how to get more of a reserve with the petcocks or be careful to reset the trip meter every time I fill up.![]()

Bike frame , Sooo many tight welds , was even welding with my other hand in some spots. Plus i didnt have alot of tig welding time before i started. It turned out good though.
I learned to be a good welder especially with tig it really helps to be ambydextrus or how ever you spell it. I tought myself that a long time ago and I am so glad I did. How long did it take you to make the frame?
Yeah - Junes is right. I'm no expert, but it really helps if you can use either hand for the torch sometimes. I'm left handed (isn't everyone?) but I do practice using both hands. It really helps - especially if you're under a car, on your back in a place where it's even hard to get your head in with the helmet on.

Longevity LS200-PI multi-purpose cutter/welder,
Miller 180 Auto-Set MIG,
Custom 5hp compressor,
It took a couple of months of class time at school to make it. I also made a jig for it , that took some time too.
I'm left handed also , and have the torch in left hand. Once you have gotten good at tig it does make you a better welder at other welding processes. You become more aware of what is happening. Bad part is you have less control over whats going on with arc and mig.
I make three lefties that's cool. They let you do that in class. Did you leave it there when you were not there
Yes ambidexderous is a great thing. I can do a lot of things with either hand, but I never tryed to TIG left handed. I can stick weld with either hand. I will have to try left handed TIG.
