I am happy with the 200PI and have not needed any more power.
I have never pushed the duty cycle while welding, but I have pushed it on the plasma and it is a little better than the specks.

Thanks Charley. I guess the speed of a plasma really is a big plus. I use chop saws, jigsaws and cut-off wheels for pretty much everything. Takes for ever on thick stock. Good call on craigslist. I'll start taking a look.

I'm just a weekend warrior and I thought the same thing about not needing a plasma cutter. One day I decided to buy one, and now I could never do without one. I purchased the Force Cut 80I for my second machine and love it. In the past only real men could work iron, now with the plasma cutter even pencil neck geeks like me can get the job done
I have limited space, and think that a dual purpose machine would have fit the bill. When I purchased my TIG, dual purpose machines weren't in the catalog.

Space is always an issue as I only have a small garage. With the quick connects taking only a couple minutes to change from Plasma to TIG and the cost savings of a multi machine, they are starting to look more appealing. Maybe I should find somebody with a plasma cutter when I get back and see how I really like a plasma cutter. Currently, I have never used one.

I'm over in Carroll couty MD. Come on over when you get back and you can try out my 200PI. Maybe by the time you get back I'll have an idea what I'm doing, if not, maybe I can get some pointers!

Arcamm, that would be awesome. Thanks for the offer, I will take you up on it for sure. That will be perfect too, since I am looking at the 200PI and 250PI. Can't get any better than trying out a welder before you drop some big $$$ on it.

Not a problem, I'd be glad to help. With all of your projects, you need to spend wisely. And I could use some pointers!

Thanks. Yup, gotta watch the pennies. Well I haven't TIG'd in a while so you might be the one giving the pointers.
