    fumes

thought about investing in a welding fume evacuator or building one out of a junk picked gas furnace, the forced air blower part seems to work just fine. have an idea what I'm going to do but wouldn't mind any suggestionGreenSmoking

only problem with the electrostatic filter is it does nothing for weld fumes the toxic ones atleast
would be pretty easy to rig up using some flexible ducting like some 8 inch or 10 inch and using a weld fume filter like on one of the commercially available fume extractors

Hmm, Something like this is on the project list..... one thought was to water filter. Fan on the outside drawing through a water catch pulling fines from the grinding area and inside welding spot. Cause I know my wife wouldn't like having that crap exhausted into the yard. Well neither would I really........... On the upside the fan would be outside for noise. On the downside the fan would be outside for the noise.......

Water is prone to trapping everything I would think, yes?

The only problem that I see with water is that bacteria grows in it. Air born bacteria could be worse than the fumes.

a water fall with a fan pulling air threw the water would get rid of any fume this is exactly what chemistry labs use
