    Agreed. Diplomatic move, and reminds your friend just how much longer projects take when paying full price. (Cage - Fuel - Electronics - Driveline - Suspension - etc...) Life is much nicer when you can do twice as much with the same money.

    CYA on liability, and you get to help out a friend while earning a bit of tool money that will most likely be shared with the same group anyhow. Self perpetuating cycle.

    Having recently missed out on $3k on a vehicle resale, I can attest to how much it stings being forgotten when the otherwise nonexistent check clears.

    I truly enjoy helping friends, but I'm not allergic to money.
