    I did that once, thought I was going to die. Fortunately the carbon arc electrode broke from my violent shaking.

    since you will be tig welding and you will have tig rods forget the hangers just use the welding rod they are probaly cheeper then the hangers anyway. Just fuse them.

    wood welders...

    I bet you can get the wood welder at the same place that sells wood stretchers...
    (Retired) professional firefighter. Amateur everything else I try to do...

    I Oxy-fuel welded a Cracked boat trailer tongue back on with a handful of coat hangers, then pulled it, Boat and all, from Tulsa, OK to Burlington , IA.

    You can weld them just grind off the paint/coating on outside.

    If its metal it can be welded , just clean it.
