Hi I'm Bill and just getting started in welding. Started with a junk AC buzz box and have now purchased the Longevity LS-160P AC/DC Tig/stick/plasma machine.

I ain't no spring chicken at 71, but alway want to learn new things and have lots of things I want to build/do that require welding so hope you guys will provide some words of wisdom as I run into problems.

Hey welcome aboard wsj. I also have the LS 160P and am about 4 months ahead of you in the learning curve for this machine. Feel free to ask me anything you need to know about this unit and I will try to help. I am still what you would consider a novice though but willing to help if possible.

Welcome from another 160P owner. I am having to sned mine back due to te pulse not working but Simon seems like he is going to be good to deal with. The machines weld great even with out the pulse. Learning to weld takes patience and practice. If I can be of any help all you have to do is ask.
