A new Guy looking to learn

Wow, this is an awesome forum my name is Dustin my current occupation is a heavy Equipment operator for the Marine Corps OORAH! Im new to welding but enjoying every bit of it, for the sake of getting started I bought the HF 80 amp inverter stick welder recommended by Freddytk421 and I would have to say Im liking it a lot. In the very near future i plan on purchasing the WeldMax LC-520D for all of my welding and hobby needs. Before I get out of the Best gun club in the world Im getting certified through United Association
Veterans In Piping (VIP) all for free so I to can be in the ranks of so many great welders. twothumbsup

    Dusten,
You are at 5 posts already for contest qualification, I think 50 is required. You are well on your way to being qualified to enter. The odds have been under 1 in 20 in recent contests. Just make sure your posts are not considered post bumps just for the sake of the count, those types of posts will not be counted. (yours are all valid posts so far).
You have till the end of the month to qualify, good luck. Check out the other requirements, if you have any problems uploading photos to the Gallery let me know, I will assist.

Yes thanks from me too. I'm glad to see veterans are getting respect again. When I got out people were spitting on veterans.
