Just ordered a LS-160P

Hi all,
After lusting for a plasma cutter for a long time...But not really needing it, I just, TODAY, placed an order for a LS160P from a local longevity dealer (The Dirt Farmer in Williamstown, NJ ).
I am as new as a Sunrise to welding. with a tad of stick welding attempts, in my checkerd past, with a Lincoln idealarc AC/DC 225. and the same with a small Miller mig-rig.
I am just retired from 40 years in Land development and Home construction and recently started a new Career at 66 (I now just sell Commercial Real Estate) and want to dabble with hobby type work, (Restoring a tractor) and progress with learning how to weld properly I'll continuously monitor this forum and look forward to finding help when needed. I'm expecting my dealer to be a boon for me and I'm lucky to have him so close ( 20 Minutes away).
I Look forward to joining your group and , who knows, I may be able to contribute something some day

Welcome. I have a 160-p and love it. It is a good machine with a lot of capabilities. If you have no welding experience, I suggest that you check into your local trade school about a few welding classes. The TIG option is great, but it can be a little tricky if you dont know what you are doing. Good luck.

Your presence and good attitude are already a good contribution. I also have the LS160P and am having so much fun with it it should be illegal. Keep us posted on your welding success and don't hesitate to ask for help with your welding failures (we all have them).
