Hello all,

I've been following these welders for a couple of years now. I just finished my shop and need to update my equipment. I've been really impressed by the stuff I've read about these units. Everybody seems happy with the equipment and the company seems to be very attentive customers needs. That's very important to me.

I learned to weld in college back in the 70s and worked in a shipyard during one summer. I haven't done much welding since the mid eighties so I'm pretty rusty. I've been limping along with a HF unit that has a hard time striking an arc on it's own ground clamp with a fresh rod much less anything I've tried to weld with it. Guess it's time to upgrade.

Hi Arcamm and welcome to the forum. We like pictures here so be sure to include some showing your work. Also, check out for the contest here. The odds of winning a great new Longevity machine are very good.
You can't go wrong with one of the Longevity units. They work very well and if you should ever happen to have an issue they will take care of it quickly.

I have been happy with my welder. I had a few minor issues with it which were fixed fairly quickly.

Oh yea you can! You've never seen me weld!

I've never tig welded before and haven't cut anything with a torch since the 80s. I did learn to weld with a gas pipe, so running a puddle and a filler rod is not foreign to me, if I can remember that far back. I'll post some pictures, but we can't let the general public see them, they might blame the machine!

I don't have a tracking number yet, but I'm gathering scrap metal to get ready.

My TIG welds were pretty ugly when I started and I am sure they aren't close to meeting pro standards but I have come a long way. Getting both hands to talk to each other was the hardest part.
