Just want to say a quick hey

    Hey everybody,

My name is Kev and I just discovered this awesome site. Definitely filled with some great info and people.

I was born and raised in Delaware, playing sports and always in the garage with my Pops. Now I have been in the Navy for almost 8 years, been married for 3 1/2 years, and have a 17 month old son. I am currently on a 10-month deployment and cannot wait to get back.

I have a lot of projects started that need finishing (hence the username). It seems I am always looking for something new. When I get back I want to really finish my bike and my lifted K5 Blazer.

I look forward to sharing my projects with you all and learning a lot along the way.

    -Kev

Hi Kev and welcome to the forum. We like pictures here so be sure to include some showing your work. Also, check out for the contest here. The odds of winning a great new Longevity machine are very good.

Thanks guys. And it's my honor to serve. I actually signed up for five more years. It's funny because I was the guy who couldn't wait to finish his initial commitments and now I keep signing up.

I have some good pics of my projects (obviously haven't been working on them since I have been gone) but I will post what I have been doing over the past few years and see what you guys think.

Actually I am not on a ship. I am a CEC Officer with NMCB ELEVEN (Seabees). We are punched out building two Vertical Take-Off & Landing Pads for the MV-22 Osprey. We have over 625 cubic yards of concrete work and 90,000 cubic yards of earthwork. Here are some pics of my troops working

Thanks Dan. I gotta say projects like these do help a long deployment go by fast. Being away from the family will never be fun, but it does help. The crew actually enjoys the long, hard days too. Keeps their mind off being away from home. Not to mention, we all like to get our hands dirty.

So you're one of the "Can Do!" guys. Beat's chipping paint all day and you leave something behind that lasts.
