    Hello from Steelburner

Hi everyone! Let me introduce myself. I am a former professional pilot and a current CNC plasma operator for a local structural steel fabricator. I currently run a Controlled Automation burning table with Hypertherm 260 XD plasma with the TruHole upgrade and 3 oxy-fuel heads. We specialize in "complex structures". I layman's terms that means goofy stuff like anything other than rectangular buildings and buildings with nontypical internal structures such as trusses and plate girders. I am addicted to steel, so when I get home from work I play with my 6x26 and 8x30 mills and my 13x40 lathe (all imports). Mostly, I make more tools or replacement parts for various mechanical basket cases that I drag home and restore. My biggest welding project, to date, is a base for the 13x40 lathe. I welded it up from 2x2x1/4 angle using a Lincoln SP135+ 110v welder. I had double bevel all joints and weld from both sides. I also have a Kawasaki KLR250 that I completely dissassembled and rebuilt. Currently, I have a F450 with a 7.3 turbo that keeps me under the hood and out of the bars. I have never had such an undependable vehicle that I loved so much. I recently purchased a Lincoln 250 GXT welder generator that I am trying to relearn how to stick weld with. A WeldAll 256 would compliment it very well! Soon...........

Nice aircraft! I'm green with envy. Why do you want to get rid of the Viking? Is the Viking made by Belanca? I used to fly into Alexandria, MN alot. I was in the freight racket. I flew Queen Airs and Beachcraft 99's for 10 years. I burned myself out. Now I work here: Welcome - Zalk Josephs Fabricators LLC . I'm starting to get the flying bug again after almost 10 years. I have always been interested in helicopters and some of the homebuild designs are intriguing. I better improve my welding skills if I am going to tackle a helicopter project!
