Xalky, new member with new longevity 256pi

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. I've been welding for 25 years, mainly mig, and torch. I've never tig welded in my life but I've been practicing on mild steel dc. I'm looking forward to trying my hand at aluminum.

The plasma cutter is simply amazing on this machine. I could just cut stuff all day if I had a reason to.

    I live in Connecticut.
I have a Longevity 256pi. I also have a lincoln idealarc dc250 mig with the LN7 wire feeder. A set of oxy/acetylene torches, a small southbend lathe, drill press, a and other various shop grinders and sanders.

I'm looking to get a used Bridgeport Milling machine in the near future. Then My shop will be complete.....as complete as I can fit into my garage.

Hi Marcel and again, welcome to the forum. We like pictures here so be sure to include some showing your work. Also, keep an eye out for the next contest here. The odds of winning a great new Longevity machine are very good.

Watch out for Blues, he gets a little frisky after a few cold ones.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I've been a little busy lately. I built a tig torch cooling setup for the tig torch...it works pretty damn good and built it mostly with stuff hanging around my garage (i got lucky, sometimes it helps to be a pack rat). I've been on the hunt for a milling machine so that's kinda taking up a lot of my spare time. That and putting some of the final touches on my ongoing garage organization project.... Who knew I had 17 tape measures..LOL

Don't feel too bad. We had enough spare gear in the back of the work truck to do half a week's worth of plumbing / fitting jobs on spare parts and pocket the change. Early Christmas bonus.
