    New Guy, awaiting LS-200P

    Hi Group, I'm Leo.

After months of deliberation I ordered an LS-200P yesterday and am eagerly awaiting its delivery.

I currently own a Lincoln "buzz box" AC welder, an oxycetelyne setup, and a Centruy mig/flux welder. With the LS-200P I should have any welding needs covered.

I am a licensed Captain and plan to use the new unit for some aluminum and stainless projects for my sailboat and powerboat.

I also build sport aircraft and hope to do some projects related to my airplane.

I've never tig'd before so any help anyone here can offer would be appreciated.

    Leo

    spflyer, Welcome to th forum!
It took me 30 years to decide to put a heater in my garage!! I was hoping that global warming would save me, but I was WRONG. So months is good!

Please post some picks of your projects.

    Thanks Kieth,

Well, I do have heat in the garage, so that's not an issue.

My airplane is wood, so posting pics of that isn't very relative to a welding site.

Maybe Longevity has a wood welding system up their sleeve.

I think I'll stick with epoxy.

Welcome to the forums SPflyer. Sounds like you have some neat projects in the pipeline. The LS 200P is a great machine as are all of the products at Longevity. I look forward to seeing some of the projects as they develop.

    Re: New Guy, awaiting LS-200P

I asked Longevity to delay my delivery until I got back from my annual New Hampshire ski vacation.

I just built a cart from some old bed frames I've been collecting and I'm eager to get my hands on this thing. I have an old Lincoln AC "Buzz Box" a Century Mig/flux, and an oxycetelyne setup. I've wanted a tig all my life and finally, it's affordable.

Let me know your first impressions on the LS 200 P.

    Leo
