    New to forum

    HI
I am new to the forums, I would like to be a dealer for Longevity. I have had a Thermal Dynamics Econopac 50 since about 1997. I hope to qualify for a dealership. I retired from state service as a civil engineer and still weld about 15 hours a week on projects on the farm and in the shop. I have welded with stick for the last 45 years and mig since getting my first Millermatic 35 in 1986 to build my first shop with. In 1998 I built my present shop 40 X 100 with all steel fabricated trusses from 12 inch and 4inch I beam, and 2 7/8 drill pipe... I have used thermal spray, brazing and stick electrode to repair both ferrous and non-ferrous castings. I have a Tig machine but have never tried it.

I have never tried an inverter plasma cutter, but if they work as good as the claims are, I would think they would sell themselves with a short demonstration. I am putting together a small portable shop trailer with Air compressor, LIncoln Idealarc 250 AC/DC welder, cutting torch and plasma cutter powered by a 15KW 3 phase Onan Generator.

Welcome to the forum Crbearden, I hope you find this a fun place to hang out. I have only used the inverter type plasma so I really can't compare them to the non inverter types. I can say, though, I don't know how you might improve on the way my ForceCut 80d cuts now. It along with my LS160p has been the best addition I have ever made to my shop.
Sounds like you are going to have a super mobile unit, post some photos of the finished unit if you can.
    Again, welcome
