    New Longevity User!

Just got my LP40D A couple days ago.. It'll take a bit to get used to the different way the pilot arc works compared to a thermal dynamics or hypertherm..wierd having to be right on the metal to start an arc then having it shut off and not re-arc til the air shuts off! Other than that, I'm very impressed with the machine and have already recommended it to other guys! I'm a welder, fabricator, metal artist from northern Mn. Always looking for people to talk shop with and bounce ideas around with.. Later, Marty

Welcome! Sounds like you will find many uses for the cutter! I have found alot of information and ideas here. I think you're gonna like it! Notice you list metal artist as one of your activities. We sure would like to see some of your work.

    Welcome Marty:

I'm fairly new to this forum thing as well, but it is neat to be able to relate to other like minded people. I'm jealous of your English Wheel, and Planishing Hammer. Sounds like you must build either bikes or cars.
