first things first...... sub-arc and mig are NOT the same thing.... one is automatic the other is semi-auto.... a tractor welds with sub arc and the other is an operator...

tig = heli-arc....the linde peeps did it first commercially

next thing, is when running FCAW, drag the bead, dont push it, make sure that you are running DCEN (oppisite of mig polarity)

you CAN NOT run over slag without getting pin holes, its a no brainer
