What type of tig torches will fit my 250 pi?

Curious to know what aftermarket tig torches fit our machines?

at the cable/torch end most are the same threads and pretty much standard with the exception of the #26 torch has larger connection (depending on manufacturer of the #26)
so you can switch out Torch Body's relitively easy

at the cable/machine end are not always the same connection or threads

My problem is that I have the WP-26 torch and the cable is too bulky/stiff with the water lines in there, and I don't use the water cooling. I'd like an air cooled torch with a less bulky line that is more flexible.

I'm confused a #26 torch is a larger 200amp air cooled torch. and you are talking water lines

The threads on the gas line is not metric or American they are SAE hose threads. I had to make an adaptor using a SAE fitting and the Dinse connector. Check out the "CNC BUILD" in the gallery.

Here is a link to my torch. I could def be wrong about it being a WP-26, just thought I read that somewhere.

I have a gas connector, and 2 extra tubes that I'm assuming is for water cooling. Since I don't use the water cooling, I'd like to get a torch with a smaller, less bulky line.

Today I did about 3 hours of welding 1/4" steel beams and my torch cable got so hot you couldn't touch it with bare hands, and there was smoke leaking out of the water coolant lines. This normal?

moespeed, it is like anything else if you run to long things are going to heat up, you need back off and leave things cool down

    Moespeed,

You will most likely need to purchase a water cooler. That TIG torch is designed to be working with the cooler if you are welding for a long period of time. Other than that, the torch is a WP26 style used by weldcraft so the parts will fit from that brand as well.

There are conversion kits by CK Products that you can purchase.

So our stock torches use a DINSE connector?
