DINSE connectors (arc welds & GND clamp)

I have a LS-200P and would like to have a longer ground and torch connector for arc welding.

What size and style are the twist lock DINSE type connectors on the front of the machine?

    Thanks!

I had the same question about a month ago. I never did find the answer, Simon sent me a connector.
If you find the answer Please post it. This info would be good for future reference.

Re: DINSE connectors (arc welds & GND clamp)

An ebay search for "welding connector" , international sellers
35-50MM...... I think is the wire size
    300-400amp plug $1.98 each

    $14.00 shipping from China
    $19.80+$14.00=33.80......$33.90/10=$3.39 each
I was going to order 10 of them, and if they fit, offer them to menbers 3.39 + shiping.

This looks like the proper connector.
If you are interested let me know and I will proceed.

Re: DINSE connectors (arc welds & GND clamp)

.....still trying to find out what, or if they are standard size. b/c of Christmas my LWS is closed, I'll be asking them about the connector soon.

....I doubt if there are specially made for these welders and are only available from china.

I mean the plasma cut consumables are available at harbor freight.....I kid you not.

Re: DINSE connectors (arc welds & GND clamp)

for instance in my web travels I found this catalog page:

    http://www.stoodyind.com/Catalogs/FISC/ ... tpg190.pdf

which contains a ton of connectors, and complete matching male and female sets which you would need for an arc welding extension cord....where you could use the standard length for bench top work, or the super long length for the "awww @#$%@#$%@#$%@#$% my 220V outlet needs to be 10 ft the other way" times.

Re: DINSE connectors (arc welds & GND clamp)

    hockyman3,
No one said that they are custom connectors, or only avaialble from China.
I was looking at the price. The link you provided the lowest cost is about $11.00
The ones from China are about $4.00.

I think that the DINSE connectors are the International standard.

Re: DINSE connectors (arc welds & GND clamp)

are the ones from china you're looking at male and female?

I'll need 2x of each (making extension cords)

......know any good place for stranded wire in large sizes of 1/0 or better?

Re: DINSE connectors (arc welds & GND clamp)

    hockeyman3,
The connectors are male onnly. I sent an email to find out if they offer a femaie connector.
I know that they offer a panel mount female. I will let you know when I receive a reply.

I have not shopped for welding cable so I do not know what a good price would be.

Re: DINSE connectors (arc welds & GND clamp)

I have received a response to my email.
    The news is not good
They do have the FM connector but they want $3.70 each, and the China math cane up $81.00 for ten FM connectors, that included the price of the connector and some very high shipping charges.

    My calculations
    Male connector;
    $1.34* 10=$13.34
    $7.00 shipping + $0.70* 10 =$14.00 13.34+14.00=27.34 total 27.34/ 10=$2.73 each

    Femail Conector;
    $3.70* 10=$37.00
    $7.00+ $0.70*10 shipping 37.00+14.00=51.00 total 51.00/10= $5.10 each

The above prices do not include shipping from my home to your home

I am still bargining with the supplyer. I will let you know status

Re: DINSE connectors (arc welds & GND clamp)

    The latest email from China

    "Dear Keith

How are you and kindly let you know that the shiping charge is in GBP,not USD. Also, the items of female plug is little heavy. So,the shipping charge is much higher.I hope you can understand.

Also,I regret to tell you that we do not have the stock for those plugs for this moment, and I have asked the factory to make them for us now,but as new year is coming, they are only able to make them for us next month. And I will inform you when I have them sold in the eBay next month. I hope for your patience.

Keep in touch. And I hope you can buy our other item.
    Thanks&Best Wishes
    Michael "

So I gues we will have to wail!!!!!!!!!!
