    Image automatic resizing.

    Hi all,
I have turned on the automatic image resizing for JPG and JPEG file extensions and set the converted size to 800X600. I have tested this on a single large photo and it worked ok. You will notice a slight time delay after uploading photos before they become available to attach in your message. This is the conversion process at work. According to VBulletin support the number of images allowed to upload at a single time should be set to one or it may drag on the server. I think considering the volume of traffic we have we can get away with the current setting of 5 photos at a time. If this becomes a problem though we may have to set the number of uploads down to a smaller number. For now we will see how it goes.
If you already have an image resizer and are comfortable with it I suggest you pre-size your photos if possible. For those who don't have an image resizer this should solve your problems.

So if we do use our own resizer we have to make the pictures 800x600 or less other wise the auto resizer would re-size them any way?

Yes, the resizer will reduce all photos (jpg and jpeg) larger than that to 800X600. I can adjust that if needed to 1024X768 but it may not display well on some older PC's.

800x600 should be big enough. I didn't want to size my pictures down to 1024x768 and then have the resizer have to redo all of them to 800x600. So if I upload any I will do 800x600 or smaller.
