Letter from Simon at LONGEVITY - Updates on Forum - Fabtech

    Hi Everyone,

I must apologize for the torture we put you guys through the last two months with not being able to login, post photos, edits, etc... As some of you may know, we were hacked and they tried to take us down for good.

Fortunately, we had some backups and restoring, although has been proven difficult, we are on the right track. There will be changes to come as we will improve the forum. I must apologize for any lost photos or posts at this point. We are trying to reinstate the missing images. From now on, our entire server is backed up on a daily basis so this will never, ever, ever happen again. Knock on wood....

If any of you have missing images or see anything that is not right on the forum, please bring it to my attention on this thread. We are still working with the vbulletin team to get everything back as it was. I want to personally thank everyone for sticking around. I also want to enter those who stayed for an exclusive drawing at Fabtech 2010.

For those who posted in the last three months and recently posted up until Saturday will be entered in a random drawing that will be recorded at Fabtech 2010. Our booth number will be 7508 so please stop by. The convention will be at The Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. Dates November 2nd-4th.

We are also excited to inform that Dan Clark (Gadget) and Stan (SICFabrications), along with Lee Stamper of American Choppers, Southern Steel, and now LSDDesigns.com will be there as well part of our team to join LONGEVITY Staff and myself. The booth is 450 sq feet and plenty of space to show our equipment.

As for the the random drawing entry. Respond here with your ID and let us know how much you missed FREEWELDINGFORUM.com

Thank you all! Sorry for the troubles!

Wow, that's awesome! Thanks Simon. UserID is "wellis77" and it was brutal without this forum. While I'm not a mass contributor to the knowledge, I am a knowledge leach and it was tough. I've learned so much from this forum and I'm grateful for you guys putting this together and making this happen. It's a great resource, and frankly a great sales avenue. Also looking forward to my new plasma cutter and mig welder. I'm already looking forward to putting up pics of my work. Thanks again!

My username is poodle and I would like to be in the random drawing. I missed this place so much I would set for hours and try to figure some way just to squeeze in and say hey. I tracked down Stan as he was the only one I could figure out how to reach. At least I was not alone in my misery.
