    More photos from Fabtech

I'm just going to post more of the photos I took with my phone at the Fabtech expo. There will be many many more photos taken by us using a digital SLR camera but Simon and Veronica will have to download them and send them to me to post later.
Mostly of us and the Longevity booth. In one of the photos there is a welder standing near the welding booth, that is Stan or SICFabrications. Let me tell you, the guy talks the talk and can really walk the walk. If he says something about welding take it as wordName: aaIMG00019-20101103-1138.jpg

Glad to hear you guys had a great time, as for Stan, after reading a couple of his post on Longevity and the other Forum, knew he was for real, and a straight tell you how it is! type of guy.
unlike other welders around Stan has his Own Standards set a few steps higher, and does not deveate from them

    Tom,
After rooming with Stan and being pretty much with him 24 hours a day for three days I totally agree with you and even more. Stan is a great guy and believe me, he knows his $^#&. He repeatedly and consistently laid down the prettiest beads I've ever seen. Didn't matter what the material or welding process either.

I truly earned that one Stan. I'll let you explain it when the questions about what it means start coming in.

Simon and Veronica took many many more photos of the expo. As soon as they get home and unpacked Simon will send them to me and I'll get them posted. My photos were taken from my phone and I only took a few. The Longevity booth was very busy (crazy busy at times) and caused quite a buzz at the show among visitors and other vendors as well. I think we will see many new accessories added to the Longevity line. In the photos above please notice the welding booth and ventilation system and make a mental note of the company name AVANI. These systems are great and really helped us keep the fumes down from all the welding Stan was doing.

Let's just say I'm elevator challenged and let Stan explain the rest.

    Keith,
You will definitely need to attend the Chicago expo. I think next year will be a super exciting one for Longevity. I'm not "just sayin" that either. I won't spoil the surprise for Simon though.

here's the deal..... dan (gadget) and i stayed on the 5th floor... and EVERY morning, dan would get in the elevator and push the button for the 5th floor to go down... each time he would try to push the button, i would say "1" and he kept pushing the button for "5"...... we were already on the 5th floor... then he asked "why wont the button stay lit?"

then, after the day at the show, trying to go up to the 5th floor, he would push the "1" button...all the while me saying "5"....

another night, after dinner, (and a few beers later) got off the elevator, dan hops off and heads down the wrong hallway, all the way to the end (of course i followed) lmao!!!

best part of the funny things that happened was this:

veronica (simon's fiance) grabbed a shop vac to vacuum the carpet the night before the show started. she hunted and searched for an outlet, found one, and plugged it in... now, we're talking about a 25 gallon dayton shop vac, see... with casters all the way around... hose still wrapped around the vac, she flips the switch, unit turns on, and she starts pushing the vac all over the carpet.... (did i mention that the hose was still wrapped around the vac?) so, in trying to clean the floor, she pushed that shop vac all over the booth... i dont care who ya are, that was funny!!!

also, you gonna see "just sayin, really, seriously, and 'and'" typed alot now on the forum.... (i think i have a catching personality)

btw, YO, D!!! you shoulda saw what i saw at the airport.... just sayin *shrugs* seriously

---------- Post added at 11:45 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:30 AM ----------

fyi, simon is NOT an old guy... for the longest time, after talking with him on the phone, i just got this idea of simon as being an old guy (ya know, kinda like gadget) well, he aint.... well mannered, clean cut kinda nice guy... and also (simon, dont beat me up for this) but the videos of veronica drawing the names for the contests do her absolutely NO JUSTICE whatsoever... she is a very pretty girl... you go, simon..

ditanion pumphrey is a real cool fella himself.

and lee? well, lee is just....lee.... kinda hard to explain lee, it just is what it is... i truly had a wonderful time hanging with the longevity peeps and dan and lee...

hopefully, i will get invited to help again demonstrating the machinery, and simon, i promise to not chew tobacco in front of the millionaires, and might even wear pants that have not been on fire before...lol....

in this expo, i was able to demonstrate the true capabilities of the multi process machines, although, the next one, i will butt weld pop cans together to even better demonstrate the arc shaping abilities of the units.....

(more on this later, my metal and stick rods just showed up, i got some bridge parts to build now)
