HF welding cart

I bought one of these a while back when it was on sale. After I got my 40i I needed another one. Don't pay $59.99 - get it on sale for 49.99 and use a 20% coupon to get it for 39.99.

The front casters are terrible. They are the turning wheels but they don't turn well at all. On my second one I replaced them with different ones. I had to drill 4 new holes. Two for each caster. The new one works much better. When I get the time I will put new ones on the other.

The bolts are also not great, so if you get one do not tighten them up too much or they will strip. You will need extra washers on the 6 back holes because the bolt heads are a bit too small for the oval holes.

I was going to put my 40i on the top and my Miller on bottom. There is a lip around the bottom and the Miller is 1/4" too tall. I need to cut a bit of the lip off and it will fit in there just right. I was reading a post by brucer and he said he will put his air filter on his cart and that seems like a great idea. I think I'll do the same.

I bought on of these a year or so ago to set my Lincoln Mig welder on, but have since bought a Tig, which I mounted on the bottom tray after using the hole saw to cut access to the Argon hose.
This thing works pretty good, but don't expect it to drag around on chipped and uneven concrete as it isn't built for offroad activity.
I'm about to build a rack to hold a larger Argon bottle, as the original bottle set up is flimsy to say the least.

Seriously? You guys are welders make your carts, it should be one of your first projects with the new welder along with a welding table.

I will have to agree with you, doesn't make sense to me, to pay for something you can make on your own
kind of defeats the purpose of having a welder

Yeah yeah yeah - I tell ya I make art not functional stuff! I want to try to make one at some point in time but for now and for $40 this was the way to go. Maybe I'll make one that is art!

Was just looking at your signature, you do have the tools, Looking at you art you do have the skills, and if you don't now you will when your done building it
