    I bought this today took it home used it for 10 minutes and this happened!

    Those things develop a lot of force when they let go. I got hit in the chest with a 14" chop saw blade, not fun. Hope you are all right. It's also a good time to remind everyone to always use safety glasses when grinding. It could have hit you in the face.

    Says it's good for 30,000 rpm, what/how were you using it? When I worked in aircraft biz we used the all the time with nothing like that happening, they were made in U.S. though

    The tool it was on will only do 25k with no load. I was going to shine up a circle with the fine grit pad. I didn't even have it touching the metal yet when it did that - just getting ready to put it down.
