Yes actually you may even be able to take the switch from a Long. tig torch because they are just held on with tight ties, if it really comes down to it.Good to know for anyone that wants to replace a tig torch with an aftermarket flex unit.On this I would speak with Simon/Support for torch options..Did you perhaps consider trading up for the multifunction so you would have the sequencing abilty. The button on the tigs is called a sequencer because if you go say to your 250 amp models the waveform is set as a sequents of events.ie;power, ramp up, pulse hi. pulse low, ramp down, off.

My 80I has a separate connection for the switch. If you have this you could add a second switch where you want it (I want a foot pedal). I would be careful with protecting the switch so that it can't accidentally get bumped and turn on.

I didn't change it out. But I still think it is pretty uncomfortable. Lately I got to thinking about connecting a foot switch to the unit. I have the switch but was kind of stumped looking to see what kind of two pin connector was used on the machine. I have measurements and was into the Newwark Electronics catalog, but didnt find a match yet. Then i just put the plans on hold.

Currently the S45 torch comes with the 40D, 50D, 40I, 50I plasma cutters. The 60 and above have a different torch. Longevity has the torches in stock and they also stock the 2 pin panel connector.
