    200PI clicking noise

I have a 200PI which has been a great unit.
Lately the plasma cutter occasionally makes a series of rapid fire clicking sounds and does not ignite.
The problem is intermittent and it usually operates properly after a few attempts to start the cut.
Set up is 30 amps, 80 PSI.

Does anyone have any idea what the rapid clicking sound is caused by or better still, how to get rid of it.

    Any help is welcome.
Enjoy the ride, its over before you know it

    The Clicking...

The clicking is usaully the relay for the solenoid or the gas solenoid itself clicking on, reason for the torch not working is low air pressure, improperly connected hose and poor contacts and ground at the torch tip and the possiblity of bad connections in the circuitry between your plu in and the torch switch, clean the torch well, check your contacts and ground.

Had that same problem last week when I went to cut a bolt from the bottom of a chev extended cab with a rusted bolt under the box that had threads stripped, ground was poor because of rust and it would not connect well and I also forgot to plug air hose in. This is a blowback torch so everything has to be in tip top shape for good use.
