    Where are you guys getting the bed rails (dump, scrap yard)? I can see how useful they could be but I don't ever see them.

    Stay out of my neighborhood! But my best source is garage sales. NOrmally I offer two bucks and mostly they take it, I probably see them most every time I go out or every other time. Also those bazaar sales like churches have, towards the end all the stuff goes in the dumpster so go there at the end of the sale and offer low. The steel is really handy and is pretty hard from either high carbon or heat treated, works well but as noted before to drill it anneal it with a torch and you will have a much easier cut.

    No worries I don't have any trips planned to Texas. Thanks for the tips, I don't know why I didn't think of yard sales, the Salvation Army store would probably be good too.
