Weather vane images for plasma cutting

This was a free download so I feel comfortable in placing it here. It is weather vane designs but there are also many images that could be used for scenery cutouts. I hope you find it useful.

    Weather Vane

One of the first projects I want to try is building a weather vane. I just purchased a Longevity Weldmax LC-520D multi purpose machine. I also own a Hobart Handler 140 mig welder. This image file is just what I need. Thanks. Now I need to find out what to use for a bearing or setup for the arrow to turn on.

Any chance of someone putting up some info on the specifics of the weathervane turning mechanism? Pictures and maybe some dimensions would be great!
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Stickomatic,
Someone made a pantograph for his plasma cutter on a different forum I think. It might make cutting the vanes out a bit easier. Let me know if you want me to find the link and post it.

Thanks Gadget I have an old school overhead projector and those will come in handy for me in the near future. I'm gonna be doing some flames on my show room walls with it soon.

I have a question about using patterns with a plasma. I was told once that you could xerox off a pattern and tape it down on the metal you are using and cut right thru the pattern without burning it up other than right where the cut lines were. Is this true?

I've heard that will work but you have to remember to keep the kerf width in mind and cut outside of the lines to compensate for that.
