Torch is getting really hot to the touch.

I have been operating my plasma cutter off a 110 dedicated circuit for a few months. Just had 220 installed today and one of the biggest things I noticed was how much hotter the torch was getting from the previous setup. I make sure not to cut for a long period of time and it is set on a 5 second purge but still.

Any ideas or is this normal?
    Respectfully, Kyle

You're pushing a lot more power through the torch with 220 and it will get hot after extended use. Try reducing the current now that you are running 220, I'll bet you can cut at lower amperage now. That should keep things a bit cooler. Also make sure your air is set between 65 and 75 PSI.
