    I made a circle cutter

Well I wanted a circle cutter but I didn't want to spend a lot. I decided to try to make one on my own. This is the first time I've ever tried to make anything like this and although it has some flaws it works and I will tweak it until I'm happy. I am excited that I did it and even more excited that it only cost about $17.
This also gave me a chance to try out the 40i - it worked very well and I'm quite happy with it.

In this pic you will notice the bearing - it just sits there with nothing holding it in. This lets the torch move around a bit if I'm not very careful. Any ideas how I could keep it in there easily?

Very nice, I was thinking of making one but the problem of the torch moving freely while moving around the circle was bugging me......I thought of a bearing but didn't quite connect the dots.....

I would thin k that something could be welded on the outer race and protrude to the outside bearing cage

Nice, you could try to use a wedge between the bearing and the torch to keep it in their, you would only need one but if you get some angling try some spring steel shim stock in a circle to hold the torch in tight.Or measure the torch dirameter and get a bearing sized to the torch weld the locking ring to the bearing and use the locking ring allen screw to hold the torch tight.Let us know the bearing number when you are done.
