    I guess the question I should ask is how do you know it's time to change out plasma tips? Or after how much cutting? I've no skill in the matter yet and haven't noticed any real change in cut quality, tho I've managed to not blow slag back into the tip more than a couple of times..........

    Cut quality is the big determining factor but watch for the tip losing form, hole enlarging, splatter damage.
