50i Test Cuts...

Thought I'd post a couple test cuts on 16ga.
Here's the front one.

Now for the back...

Having a good time with this whole CNC thing and the Longevity works well...
These were cut with the large tips...

That is a neat display. It would be interesting to compare their rated cutting abilty to the actual ability with the CNC table.

i've cut 1 inch on my table with my 60i. it cut at 6-7 ipm on the straights and i had to slow the curves down to 2-3 ipm. The rated for the 60i is 1 1/4"

Nice, looks like anywhere from 30 to 90. My problem is I still need to assemble the CNC stuff.

I've found that after several sheets of 16ga. that 70ipm @ 30amps is the most consistent and great for tip life.

I have seen one Mosfet machine HF start(pilot arc, not Longevity) cut through scaly rusty metal very well and a IGBT blow-back start machine (pilot arc, also not Longevity) did not do well on anything but the least amount of surface rust. The arc would sputter and die then try to restart. 1/8" material.

Mine plows right through rusted metal...as long as it has a good ground...
I seems that if you grind a patch down to bare metal to ground to it works much better...
