I had posted this filter on another post, small enough to put inside the unit, even after the solenoid, but more important it is a good final stage unit to catch anything that condenses before your torch.About $5.00-$7.00 ea.You don't want to put to much crap inline from your compressor, on my multi-function I keep it minimal, because of the argon use, but you are going to need a good dryer or else you are going to start paying the price in consummables.Cause it would stand to reason if you have a water problem you will be having trouble with consummables lifetime.

You can actually bake the moisture out of the desiccant and re-use it. At least you can with the drier from HF.

I assume I can run the argon through this filter right?
Gadget, how often do you have to replace/bake these? Is it based on how much it is used, or a time period?
Depends a lot on the amount of moisture in your air. Mine said yearly I think, I have the large one. The pellets are blue, when they turn pink they need to be baked till they are again blue. Alternatively, you can replace them. A replacement pack isn't too expensive but I'd rather keep using the ones I have. The dryer I have has a bleeder valve on the bottom. I bleed that after each use.
I'll double check the bake cycle needed tomorrow and will post it here.
