Very good work Keith. I need to build something that works the same way. Your design might just give me a few ideas. I threw something together the other day to get me by but having the stand off would have been a great addition.

Grandson has just been tack welding pipe ends on metal to use as guides to cut his circles. After seeing your circle cutter build it looks like just the ticket for him. I have no doubt he will be building one off your ideal Keith, thanks

I wanted to make one of these after seeing your post and started getting parts together even before my 200PI showed up. I have found while searching thrift stores for camera tripod legs that the older ones worked a lot better than the newer ones. They seemed to have better tendency to stay rigid and not flex like the newer models. The hold down clamps seemed to lock down better and were more secure as well. The newer tripods would allow you to jiggle the leg a little even when locked down while the older sets were rock solid.

They are used for extending it for the 127 in radios. Do you think you want one of them?

Thanks, but I too am a collector, and have some just waiting for me to copy your design.
