Sorry guys - it's not what you were expecting!!
Working on the side exhaust for my old coupe requires a lot of overhead welding.
One of my old tricks for avoiding sparks, slag etc. for falling down my sleeves is to cut the bottoms off some old socks, and use the remaining sleeve to slip over the joint between the end of the gauntlet of the welding gloves, and your tucked in sleeve.
This keeps your sleeve from slipping down while you're holding your arms overhead and allowing a nice place for the hot stuff to fall into.
I forgot.
And yes - I was wearing gauntlet gloves, cover-alls, and welding jacket on backwards to cover my neck.
And yes - I knew it was happening - but you know how it goes - sometimes when I'm in the moment, I just forge ahead. - - stupid - I know.
