Sounds like the regulator is passing too much pressure through. There is a 5 year warranty on the welders so I think I would contact Jesse about this. You can email or PM him.

I would ask Jesse first to make sure you don't void the warranty. If he gives the go ahead try turning it out (ccw) to reduce pressure.

    Hi Allegro,

It will not void the warranty. Dan, thanks for the heads up. Customers should always check first. If it cant be repaired, we can replace it.

Not sure exactly what regulator you have, but if you look at typical pressures even for plasma cutting a max pressure of 80 #s or so would be more than you need. My air supply from my large compressor delivers 120 psi to the machine, internal regulator drops it to my working pressure of 40 to 60.

The argon runs at a much lower volume and pressure than plasma and although my setup is different I have a regulator set for typically 30 or 40#s.

You can't hurt a regulator by adjusting it; sometimes they put a sticker over the adj screw. I would try to adjust it but make sure you have a gauge on the low pressure side so you can tell what the pressure is, counter clockwise reduces the pressure normally. Don't crank it down clockwise or you will be increasing pressure.

A photo might help explain your problem but an O ring shouldn't blow out anyway at that pressure so I suspect maybe there's some other hookup issue, like mismatched size of hose, connector or something? All I can offer from what info I see.

    re:regulator (argon)

Well that makes alot of sense most regulators i have seen (as I remember) have allways had a t handle adjuster so when i looked at this one same as the one pictured in the longevity catalog you will see there is no t handle but the sticker covering the adjuster screw twothumbsup thats where I need to adjust it down applaudtoo bad it took so long to get an answer , bit bummed about that Jesse never called back and Simon said to send it back. I believe you are due for a ata boy pat on the back twothumbsup
I was ready to buy one headbanger
