High Frequency.

We do not recommend using your PBX phone near the machine. There is a high frequency board inside that can permanently damage your PBX phone system.

You should shield your phone system and all cords with some aluminum foil. Our new plasma cutters now feature High Frequency free starting. Unfortunately, all of our tig welders, feature high frequency and some with an option of lift arc or scratch starting.

Two of my machines use HF and they are fine right now. I plan to buy/build a plasma table in the future and have heard many stories of how they have malfunctioned in the presence of HF. I will probably get a lift arc machine when the time comes.
