Also if you can take some pictures of what your welds look like and post them it can be very useful in diagnosing what you are doing wrong.
For gas straight argon is your best bet for most stuff. One mistake people make is to try and use a argon c02 mix from a mig welder setup which won't work.

make sure that you dont have a pile of magnets all over your table too... will cause magnetic arc blow and give close to everyone involved a headache

Have not been able to even get a good weld so no point on taking a picture. I also am using the weld all 200pi using 100% argon and welding 14 ga sheet of hot rolled steel any more info let me know thanks
Any chance you can take a video of the setup along with some of your welding so we can see what's going on?
Tell us what settings you have for every switch and dial, perhaps we can catch something that way. Also where you have your argon flow set.

You should be in DC mode at maybe 60 amps or so. Argon flow should be around 10 cubic feet per hour or 5 liters per min. Make sure the argon is actually making out of the torch (use some dust or the back of your hand). Make sure your tungsten is clean and sharp. The scratches from grinding should go length wise.
What does it do when you try to weld? Do you get a good arc and a puddle? What type of tungsten are you using?

I have the 200PI as well. I usually use the pedal but don't turn the dial on the pedal below about 7.5 or you will have trouble. Set the unit to DC with the Pulse off. Turn all knobs to zero but set post flow to about 5 seconds. By zeroing all dials the pedal will control the amperage, more pedal, more amps. Use 3/32 electrode and no more than 1/16th diameter for the filler. Argon should be set to 15CFH or 7.5LPM depending on what type flow meter you have. You also have a pressure gauge on your unit, it should be set somewhere around 30psi or higher. This really only has the effect of allowing argon flow to pass freely. If the regulator is too low it will restrict argon flow. You should get a smooth arc, keep the electrode around a quarter inch from the metal. Start the puddle then dip the rod into the puddle and move the puddle forward. Dip and move.

Well waiting till the sun comes up so i can go out and start to weld or try to and as i slept over night and read my older posts i made another error in my post i only have the 160 pi not the 200 sorry for any misposts
