    Tip Tig for Longevity

Is anyone using a tip tig rig or using a feeder with their longevity Tig Equipment or Multi function, I have seen some of the tip tig rigs out their and wonder if one could be made by unhooking the ground cable and power cables on a cheap mig that are available and using the feeder motor inside and torch lines into a tip tig handle, using the original feed supply knob as a speed controller on the cheap? To me the hardest part seems to be the torch configuration and where to buy one.Their is a gentleman on a few other forums using a handheld feeder and it looks hard to hold and I am still young(4 but arthitus is settling in really bad with my hands.Or just buying a readily available feeder I guess.

It is not rocket science and it is not hard to get a mig feeder motor and drive all that would then be needed would be a power supply for it and an analog control for speed, case, cord, new torch. My welding is good but you know always looking for something new to try.

I'll admit that same thought has crossed my mind. But I'm really not very good at TIG yet, so my opinion should not be held too highly. The idea, if I understand it corrrectly, of an easily controlled, smooth and constant filler feed is intriguing, but maybe it would be defeating the instant controllability of the TIG process, and would not be advantageous?
Anyway, I'm betting some real TIG experts will weight in on this, and inform us. - - I'm hoping so.
    Cheers,

SICfab posted a link to a wire feeder for a TIG welder a while back.
PRO II TIG Cold Wire Feed Machine [PRO II TIG] - $1,158.33 : Arc-Zone.com, The Welding Accessory Experts
It costs quite a bit so it probably wouldn't be worth it unless you are a pro.

Where it gets mentioned on the forum
    TIG Pen

I don't see why a mig roller feed wouldn't work but getting the speed right may be hard.
