    Gas Lense conversion - LS200PI

For anyone interested in converting Their TIG torch over to a gas lense for their 200PI, or similar machine, following are the part numbers for Weldcraft parts to do the job:

WEL-54N01 - Insulator, Gas Lens, TIG, Weldcraft
    WEL-45V26 - Body, Collet, Gas Lens, TIG, Weldcraft45V26, 2.4mm (3/32)
    WEL-10n24 - Collet, TIG, Weldcraft 10N23, 1.6mm (1/16)
WEL-54N15 - Nozzle, Gas Lens, TIG, Weldcraft 54N15, Size #7, Alumina.

Note - this is for just one collet, and one size nozzle. Other sizes are easily available, and quite in-expensive. The total bill for me, including two nozzles, and two collets was $30.26cdn including taxes etc..

    Hope you find this useful.

Funny I just asked this question a few hours ago then saw this thread. I'm trying to get the tungsten really far out there so I can weld down into some acute angles on tubing junctions. Is this the way to go?

The gas lense may infact make it worse because the lense is wide but it may enable you to pull the electrode out further, you may be better off with a #5 insulator or go to ck and look for a specialty insulator for your torch.

they also make a stubby gas lens setup... so you can also get a stubby back cap to shorten the entire torch assembly

Your best deal in purchasing gas lense parts is on ebay, I set up my 3/32 tung for gas lense with weldcraft parts from Acklands - Grainger and it cost me about $30.00cdn, one lense and all required components, and if I would have gone on the net and purchased parts it would have been a third. Also you have to make sure you get the right cup seals.I would say if anyone wants to go to a gas lense, and absolutely don't think I can find a reason to go back to standard flow is to put together a kit and then you know you have everything.
