164i foot pedal doesn't have knob

The pedal that came with my 164i doesn't have an adjustment knob. Is there a way to use a knob on the machine instead?

why would there be a knob on the pedal? u set the knobs on the machine to max amps you want to put out. then the pedal controls everything under that depending how hard you press the pedal. right? is that what your talking about?

I was under the impression that the pedal overrides the knobs on the machine. Also, it seems most/all other models of pedal come with the knob on the front.

On all the Miller lincoln esab linde there is no knob on the pedal you just set the max amps you want on the machine and control the min to the max you set by cycling the pedal maybe longevity went with this set up i know on some of there machines they were using a knob on the pedal which in my opinion was useless unless you had hands where your feet were to change settings with the knob

    Foot Pedal

    Hi.

We will probably not have knobs on the pedals anymore as they are not as affective. With your machine, when the power is on, set the amps on the machine, plug the pedal in and whatever you set the maximum amps to before plugging the pedal in is where the limit will be.
