Those pyrex cups look neat but too expensive. I would also be concerned with metal vapor plating onto the surface (cloud them up).

the torch from your 200pi will be the equivalent of a -26 weldcraft.... anything that is "weldcraft" compatible will work on your torch... as far as you blowing your cups because of a bad pedal, i doubt it, more like you had your settings wrong on the machine and thats what blew the cups.... ive been runnin a tig machine for more than 20 years and have yet to blow a cup unless i forget to swap to DCEN, set the cleaning too high, or drop the danged things...

Pedal put out 225+ amps as soon as it clicked on regardless where setting were or pedal position.
The last cup is welded to the tungsten and cracked. i'll have to break the cup to get the tungsten out.
Pedal was sent back, I hope its defective and not the machine. The cups were glowing red hot, gun was smoking.

I'll take my tig gun into airgas and buy a cup to double check the size, then order them.

lol. I'd venture a guess that it quickly gathered your full attention.

Wookie the WP 17 is a 150amp torch. It should be a WP26 for that machine I believe (which is still a bit light at 200A for full power work). Really a water cooled would be best.

I also never broke a cup. Except for dropping, knocking to the floor or banging against something
I do like the gas lens though. But as for the Pyrex no need

The cup sounds like it broke because it was too small. At really high amps you do have to get special cups no matter what tho. As for the gas lens they are really nice for stainless and exotic metals but honestly dont care for everyday stuff. Pyrex i totally agree with tomsign there is no need that i can see. They do cloud up after a while tho.
