OK - I'll admit it. Since getting my LS200PI quite a while ago, I haven't really used the TIG function much. It's likely because of already having Stick, and MIG machines, and being pretty comfortable with them, and always being in a hurry.
Anyway, a couple of days ago I had some work to do on some light gage shelving (22ga.), and decided it was high time to get some time in on the TIG process, since it's supposed to be so good at light gage stuff. The difference was - this time I decided to use the pedal. Up to then, I hadn't used it much, thinking it might be just one more variable to confuse me in a process that some say is already a bit taxing to the novice. - - You know the business of not being able to walk and chew gum at the same time - me being an old fart and all.
Anyway, this time I used the pedal. - What a difference!! I'll admit I still blew a few holes and all, but the light has come on - - I loved it..
I guess there's still a few rays of hope left for the old guy.
