Sticking argon solenoid, but the only safe way to test is with alligator clips on DMM and turn machine on or safer yet disconnect the solenoid from the machine with the machine unplugged use a 12 volt source to power the two leads to the flow solenoid. They are all pretty much the same if you want to check it, either four rivets in each corner or four screws that are tapped ineach corner, you have to remove to service and test.
If you have current holding the solenoid open, then it is time to start looking at the potentiometer used to control current and what the proper values should be for this. Not a horror story if it is the problem, and can likely find parts locally.
As keith said what type of machine? and can you get these values from Longevity, then start looking for bad connections and where the wiring goes from this pot, and problems between them. This is where help from Longevity could benifit and their engineer, is it greater resistance greater time in post flow or the opposite.

On my 200pi the solenoid is 220 volt so we need the machine type...

Hi all, when I shut the power of the gas stops, I have lost better bart of my tank, over this, I think it is the solenoid! the other day I had no down slop, looks like I need to take things apart, what bothers me is I only have about 5 hrs total on this unit. O well, time to check it out.

Yes it should fail shut,or when power off. be awful poor planning it it failed open.I have the same machine keith and I did not think the solenoid was 220, almost everything out their is either 115 or 12 volt.Might be a peice of hose stuck inside.
But in this case you should really have a talk with Customer Service at Longevity also and give then a heads up.
