    The 2 parts are 16x8x2.75 thick so assembled they will be 1 unit 5.5" thick, they are beveled 1/8th all the way around. They are bolted together for strength so the weld just needs to be pretty and a deterrent for reverse engineering.

    since it is a deterrent and for cosmetic looks and not structural.
    PRE HEAT use a #26 tourch 1/8" tungsten sharpened to a point, would probabaly use 75 HE / 25 AR gas
    300-350 amps HF @ 200 or more to keep bead width narrow.
    I really think it needs more of a bevel, but it is cosmetic so.
    use your pratice parts to dial in.
    well Charley thats my 2 cents
    Stan would be better at this since it is allmost 3" thick
